BIOGRAPHY
Hani Muhsen is an associate professor at the Mechatronics and AI Department at German Jordanian University in Amman, Jordan. He obtained a B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering from Palestine Polytechnic University, Palestine, in 2005, an M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from Jordan University of Science and Technology in 2009, a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from the Technical University of Chemnitz in 2016. In 2006, Dr. Muhsen received a DAAD scholarship to conduct his M.Sc. study; in 2011, he received a Ph.D. scholarship from the DAAD. He worked on designing a three-phase inverter with very high efficiency based on silicon carbide. He has worked in several administrative positions since 2016, besides academic work. In 2017, he worked as an exchange coordinator for mechanical engineering; in 2018, he worked as dean’s assistant for quality assurance; in 2019, he worked as an exchange coordinator for Mechatronics engineering; in 2021, he worked as vice dean of students’ affair and in 2022, he worked as a vice dean of scientific research. Dr. Muhsen is interested in electrical engineering systems, renewable energy, smart grid, and hydrogen technology. Dr. Muhsen and Prof. Alaaldeen Al-Halhouli supervise the smart grid established in 2019 by an Erasmus plus project for capacity building. Dr. Muhsen works on several projects related to the digital twin, peer-to-peer trading, microgrid modeling and optimization, and, last but not least, hydrogen technology. Dr. Muhsen has published more than 20 papers internationally. Journals and conference proceedings.
