The smart grid concepts were revealed recently due to the rapid increase in the demand side due to overpopulation and increasing scopes in the commercial and economic sectors. In addition, the apparent impact of the conventional power supplies on the atmosphere layers due to the emission of carbon dioxide gases becomes a severe problem that needed to be solved. Therefore, the Smart Grid is a concept that will allow to:
- Coordinate the energy demand and generation
- Ensure the needs of network operators, different consumers, and stakeholders
- Operate the different network parts efficiently by minimizing the operational cost and environmental impacts and maximizing the system's safety, reliability, resilience, and stability.
