WEFE (Water-Energy-Food-Environment) Nexus in Jordan

It’s time now to consider developing partnership between all interrelated sectors in Jordan, as they all have an impact on one another. Developing the Nexus is now much more important than developing an integrated management system of each sector separately. However, the development of Nexus requires reconsidering some of the formed laws, regulations and legislations and adjusting them in order to achieve the common interest of all sectors without negatively affecting the other, whether in future projects or in the development of strategies and plans, and this is what was presented within the objectives of the Economic Modernization Vision that took place few months ago; establishing a Nexus Council that concentrates on the sectors’ common interests.
